Rob Bullock is the President and founder of Bullock Quality Tactics, LLC, and the Senior Editor of the Quality Best Practices Website and Newsletter. Rob has been running this successful quality auditing, consulting and training firm since 2006. Key customers have included major international registrars, national training companies, a national laboratory accrediting firm, US Army Mobile Labs and Kits, The United States Green Building Council, and several Cleveland area manufacturing companies and laboratories.
Rob is an IRCA certified Lead Auditor for the ISO-9000 series standards, and IATF certified ISO/TS-16949:2002 International Qualified Automotive Auditor.
Rob has several years as an auditor/consultant/trainer for the ISO 9000 , QS-9000, QS-9000 Tooling and Equipment (TE) Supplemental, ISO-14000, and ISO 17025 standards throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico and Japan. These companies included small, medium and large companies in a variety of industries including: metal stamping, steel, rubber, construction, plastics injection molding, chemical processing, plating, electrical, and military.
In addition to his auditing, consulting, and training experience, Rob has had a distinguished career in manufacturing management and has been as a plant manager for two medium sized manufacturing facilities including: a metal stamping and fabricating facility; and a metal plating and finishing facility. Rob has also held other positions in these companies including Quality Manager and Plant Engineer.
Rob is a degreed mechanical engineer and is a registered professional engineer in the State of Ohio.
EXPERIENCE:
Bullock Quality Tactics, LLC Lakewood, Ohio 2006 – Present
Performs 3rd party auditing for multiple registrars and accrediting bodies for Quality Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems to the ISO/TS 16949; ISO 9001; ISO 14001; and ISO 17025 standards. Performs internal auditing and consulting services for manufacturers and laboratories. Performs training and seminars on quality management related topics for a national training firm.
Plant Manager: Responsible for all operations including: manufacturing, quality, process engineering, maintenance, inventory management, purchasing, shipping and receiving.
Quality Manager: Responsible for Quality Department personnel, customer complaints, customer interface on new product launch on Toyota Tacoma frame parts and assemblies.
Subcontractor to Registrar, Consulting and Training Firms 2000-2003
Auditor/ Trainer: Performed auditing, consulting and training for Quality Management Systems and Environmental Management Systems to the ISO 9001:2000; ISO 14001:1996; QS 9000; QS 9000TE; and ISO 17025:1999 standards. Audited and consulted in various industries including plastic injection molding, electronic, printing, chemical, metal stamping, metal casting, distribution, precision machining, automotive, printing, construction, specialty equipment manufacturing, transportation, slitting, paper, building materials, nutritional supplements.
Chromium Corporation; Cleveland, Ohio 1991 – 2000
Plant Manager: Senior manager on site in Cleveland reported to the President/CEO in Texas for a company which provided hard chrome plating, tin plating, nickel plating, honing, centerless grinding, hand grinding, milling, turning, CNC machining, and assembly of components of large diesel engines in the locomotive, marine, and petroleum industry. Responsible for plant profit or loss, and all operations including: production control, quality control, process engineering, maintenance, capital equipment, purchasing, laboratory, and inventory control.
Plant Engineer: Responsible for plant operations, maintenance and engineering support. Performed: machine design, equipment installation and modification, project engineering and management, quality and process engineering.
U.S. Army; Ft Knox, Kentucky 1988-1990
Maintenance Control Officer: Served in a variety of logistical and maintenance support positions including: for a rebuild shop of automotive, armament and communication equipment. Managed: production, quality control, and gave site technical support.
